Welcome to Project 57

Project 57 is the refurbishment and partial redevelopment of the old National School building at 57 High Street, Ibstock. This building was purchased by Ibstock Community Enterprises Ltd in 1999 and was completed in July 2004, and is now fully let.

The project provides 8 business units, giving approximately 365 square metres of managed workspace on easy in and out terms for small businesses. It also provides a large purpose-built high specification training suite and meeting place suitable for use by local residents, groups and businesses. There are a wide range of business services and support on offer to occupants of the building and to the wider business community of the area.

The Project 57 Business Centre is the result of several years dedicated work by Ibstock Community Enterprises Ltd to secure funds to create 'work space' units in Ibstock, and help to support local enterprise. There are 8 units which range from 200 sq.ft. to over 1000 sq. ft.

Each unit is let under a 'Tenancy at Will' agreement, which allows maximum flexibility for new, or start-up businesses, with rents from £60 to £200 a week, depending on the size of the unit. The rent includes rates, electricity and heating, car parking and reception services. Additional business support services are available. Each unit is fully cabled for telecomms, computer networking and broadband. The building has a shared kitchen and toilets and there is secured access 24/7 for all tenants. Each unit is independently alarmed and the building has CCTV coverage.

The Training and Conference Centre comprises over 1000 sq. ft. of air-conditioned space, which are tailored to the requirements of the client. The unit provides some of the latest conferencing and training tools including, Overhead projection, Video Conference, Interactive-Whiteboard, and a suite of fully networked PC stations with access to broadband.

Project 57 gives small businesses the help they need to succeed.
